Prime Timers of Baltimore was officially formed on April 1, 1997. We had previously been a part of a joint Baltimore/Washington DC chapter. Members of all Prime Timer chapters as well as Independents are welcome to attend any Prime Timer chapter meetings or activities. Whether, it is located in the city next door or on the other side of the world.
Prime Timers are Mature Gay or Bisexual men and the men who admire them. Our members are men who choose to have their social lives enriched by the diverse activities in which our members engage. No single definition can describe Prime Timers, as they come from all walks of life. We involve ourselves in our communities with politics, volunteerism, Gay and Lesbian issues, the arts, entertainment, and every other facet of healthy living. We are fathers and care givers. We are businessmen and entrepreneurs. We are workers and retirees. Some of us are always on the go, and some enjoy the quiet company of others at home. One thing is true of all of us in Prime Timers: we enjoy the opportunities and friendships that develop with other Prime Timers throughout the world.
We try to keep our calendar filled with events that provide Baltimore with a place where Mature Gay/Bisexual men and their admirers can meet for fun in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. As with any social club, the quality of the group is determined by nothing more than the active and enthusiastic involvement of its members. We encourage new ideas from our members to ensure growth and prosperity. We hope you will join us and make Prime Timers a great time for everyone! If your not close enough to join our chapter checkout Prime Timers Independent membership. Go to Prime Timers Worldwide website and click on the Independents page.
Meetings and Events
We have our monthly general meetings at St. Mark's Lutheran Church located at 1900 St. Paul Street, which is between 21st Street and North Avenue in Baltimore. Parking is readily available and we are handicap accessible. We are not a religious affiliate of St. Mark's Church, they extend us kindness in the use of their Lehr Hall. We meet on the second Sunday of every month at 6 PM. Of course, we sometimes move our meetings to other venues for a change of pace. We serve a potluck dinner or light snacks after our business meeting. We have a special guest speaker of interest to members when at St. Mark's. Sometimes, we have board games instead.
We have a list of monthly events that our members may attend alone or in a group such as: opera, music performance, lectures, plays, and movies out in theaters or in a member's home. One event which is entertaining is karaoke. Some of our members sing around the Baltimore area at various venues. We have very talented members from a musical to theatrical standpoints. One of our members performs with the Harrisburg Symphony. You may even catch one of us performing in a local play. We have members who are experts in Maryland and United States history. If your interested in Royal Geneaology, we have someone who would be glad to discuss it with you. If you want to learn how to play Bridge, 500 or any other card games we have men who will show you what you need to know. We have board game players from"Aggravation" to "Yahtzee." You see, we are not limited by just a few talented members. They bring with them their professional lives too. Come to our meeting and get to know everyone. As you can see, we have varied interest and hobbies. If this sounds interesting and you want to know more about us email at .
